CPUx is a hardware information, monitoring, fan control and stress-testing app for Windows. This policy explains what data the app handles.
CPUx does not collect, store on any server, sell or share any personal information. It does not send any data over the internet.
To show its information, CPUx reads data from your own PC while it runs: hardware details (processor, graphics, memory, drives, motherboard, battery, displays, devices), live sensor readings (usage, temperatures, clock speeds, fan speeds, power), network adapter details and the list of running processes. This information is shown in the app and is not transmitted anywhere.
CPUx saves two kinds of files on your PC, in your user profile:
Neither file leaves your PC. Uninstalling the Microsoft Store version removes them.
When you choose Export, CPUx writes a report about your hardware to a file that you pick. The report stays where you saved it; CPUx never uploads it. If you share a report, it may contain your computer’s name, hardware serial numbers and network addresses.
The fan control and performance mode features change fan speeds and power modes on your PC only when you ask them to. CPUx returns fans to automatic control when it closes.
CPUx has no online features, analytics, advertising or crash reporting. The only time it involves the internet is when you click a link (for example, the PawnIO driver website), which opens in your web browser.
CPUx does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same address with a new date.
